What we do
Poway Water Damage Pros takes calls for water damage restoration and mold remediation in Poway, Escondido and Ramona, California. The phone line is answered 24 hours a day, and the work itself is carried out by licensed and insured restoration professionals.
We do not publish owner names, license numbers or staff bios here, and we do not post reviews or star ratings. This site tells you how the work is done, what it involves and what it depends on, so you can judge it yourself.
How a job runs
- You call. A dispatcher asks where the water is, what caused it, what it has reached and whether the source is stopped.
- You get safety steps. While a crew is arranged, you hear what to do, such as closing the main valve and lifting valuables.
- A crew assesses. Moisture meters and a thermal camera show where water traveled, and the scope is written down.
- Scope and price are explained before work starts. You hear what is involved and how it is priced before anything is removed.
- Extraction, drying and cleanup follow. Equipment runs until readings match a dry reference.
- Repair finishes the job. Drywall, flooring and paint are rebuilt once the structure is dry.
The standards we point to
Two published industry standards describe good practice. ANSI/IICRC S500 covers professional water damage restoration, including water categories and drying. ANSI/IICRC S520 covers professional mold remediation. We name them so you can ask any restoration company, including us, whether its crews work to them.
Naming a standard is not a certification claim. It is a way for you to hold every company to the same yardstick, and the questions are easy to ask on the phone.
What we do not do
We do not repair plumbing, replace roofs, waterproof foundations or fight fires. Those are other trades. When the source of your water is a failed pipe or a roof leak, a plumber or roofer fixes it, and we dry and rebuild what the water damaged.
We also do not promise arrival times or insurance outcomes. We offer same-day response when available, and we tell you what to do while a crew is arranged. Whether a claim is paid is up to your insurer and your policy.
Where we work
Poway is the home base, and the neighborhoods around Old Poway Park, Lake Poway and Pomerado Road are our closest calls. We also cover Escondido to the north and Ramona to the east. The service area page lists ZIP codes for each.
Each town gets its own page because conditions differ. Escondido has a creek corridor and older central homes. Ramona has freeze nights and larger parcels. Poway has hillside lots and tracts built from the late 1950s onward.
Pricing and insurance, plainly
We do not post exact prices because every loss is different. The factors that move the number are water category, affected area, materials, drying days and rebuild scope, and each service page lists them. If you want your real number, call (760) 769-1159.
For insurance, we provide photos, moisture readings and a written scope. Sudden and accidental water damage is often covered and gradual leaks often are not, but check your policy or ask your insurer, because wording differs.
Reach us
The fastest way to reach us is the 24/7 line. You can also read the contact page for the address and email, or start from the services page if you want to compare what each service covers.
What makes a restoration job go well
Three things decide most outcomes. The first is speed: the sooner standing water is out and drying starts, the less material has to be removed. The second is finding the real source, since a job that treats symptoms returns. The third is clear communication about scope, so nobody is surprised by what is removed, what it costs or how long it takes.
We build the process around those three. The phone line is staffed around the clock, crews take moisture readings instead of guessing, and scope and price are explained before work starts.
None of this replaces your own judgment. Ask questions, ask for things in writing and compare what you hear against the published standards. If something does not make sense, say so on the call.
Questions we are happy to answer
Ask us how a job would be scoped, which standards the crew follows, what is included in a price and what is not. Ask what happens if more damage turns up behind a wall. A straight answer is a good sign, and a vague one is a reason to keep looking.
If you decide to use another company, we hope these questions help you choose well.
